Zapier lets you connect ContractSafe with other web applications, including Google Drive, Microsoft Outlook, HubSpot, and many others. This article explains how to connect your ContractSafe account to Zapier, authenticate the integration, and start creating automated workflows called Zaps.
Before you begin
Before connecting ContractSafe to Zapier, make sure you have the following:
- An active ContractSafe account with access to Settings → Security & Integrations.
- A Zapier account. A Zapier subscription may be required to use the ContractSafe integration, depending on your Zapier plan.
- A clear idea of what should start the workflow and what ContractSafe should do next—for example, upload a document, create a contract record, or retrieve contract information.
Security note: Your ContractSafe API credentials work like a password. Store them securely and do not share them in email, screenshots, support tickets, or public automation templates.
Find your ContractSafe credentials
ContractSafe provides the credentials Zapier uses to connect to your account.
1. Log in to your ContractSafe account.
2. Select Settings, then Security & Integrations.
3. Scroll to the Zapier section at the bottom of the page.
4. Record the API Key/Org Token and API Secret. You will enter both values in Zapier.
Connect ContractSafe to Zapier
After you have your ContractSafe credentials, connect the ContractSafe app in Zapier.
1. Log in to your Zapier account.
2. Search for ContractSafe in Zapier’s app directory.
3. Select the ContractSafe app and choose the trigger or action you want to configure.
4. When prompted, enter the API Key/Org Token and API Secret copied from ContractSafe.
5. Select Continue and complete any connection test that Zapier displays.
Create your first Zap
Connecting your account does not create an automation by itself. You still need to configure and publish a Zap.
1. Choose the application and event that should start the Zap.
2. Choose ContractSafe as the next application, then select the ContractSafe action you want to perform.
3. Select the connected ContractSafe account.
4. Map the information from the first application to the ContractSafe fields shown in Zapier.
5. Test the Zap and review the result in ContractSafe.
6. Publish the Zap when the test produces the expected result.
