Update:
- Polish Zloty currency added: The Polish Zloty (PLN (zl) was added as a supported currency in the currency field.
- CFP Franc currency added: The CFP Franc (XPF) was added as a supported currency in the currency field.
- Search for partially executed contracts with Smart Search: For organizations leveraging Smart Search and execution status, you can search for partially executed contracts.
- Improved allowed guest domains descriptions: The “allowed guest domains” instructions were updated to better communicate the expected behavior when restricting guest access to template and intake forms.
- Smart Search: Default search functionality for US & EU: When a new account is created for US or EU organizations, Smart Search is the default search experience.
- DocuSign: Non-admins can self modify their DocuSign credentials: Previously, only admins could modify a user’s DocuSign login credentials. If a user attempted to change their personal credentials, they’d receive the following error message: “Only department admins or administrators can do this.” This has been improved so that all users can update their personal login credentials.
- Permissions: Read-only, Download OK users can eSign documents: A new user permissions setting was added for eSign, allowing users with a Read-Only, Download Ok user role to eSign documents. In the AI and Workflow settings, navigate to eSign on the workflow options tab and check the box. While the default setting for this permission is disabled, once enabled by the admin, all users in this permission group can eSign documents. If eSign is disabled, then the checkbox is also disabled.
Fix:
- Intake forms: Approval requests did not send when created without a document: Resolved an issue where approval requests were not sent to approvers when the contract was created via an intake form WITHOUT a document.
- Reports: Individual user reports cannot be created: Resolved an issue that prevented users from generating individual activity reports.
- Reports: Cannot download Excel report from Contract list: Resolved an issue that prevented users from downloading the contract list as an Excel file.

- Contract upload: Error message when emailing in contracts: There was a defect for AU Organizations that prevented users from using the email in contract upload method. When a user attempted to email a contract in, they received an error message.
- Reports: Audit trail displays when users attempt to access folders: Previously, the audit trail for a contract logged when a user attempted to access a folder where a contract was stored, which gave the impression to the admin that users had access to folders outside their permissions. The audit trail was updated and attempts to access a folder no longer display.
- Dates & Reminders: Cannot modify existing termination date reminder: When a user attempted to update a termination date reminder, they received an error message. This has been resolved.
- Filters: Cannot filter contract list by currency: When a user attempted to filter the contract list by the value filter, the contract list did not display the list of contracts that met the search criteria. This has been resolved
- Approvals: Incorrect email displaying as the approval requester in approval: request email: When a contract was sent out for approval, the email address of the user being asked to approve the contract was displayed instead of the email address of the user who initiated the contract approval. This has been resolved, and the email address of the user requesting the contract approval displays.
- Saved Views: Unable to modify and save an existing saved view: When a user attempted to modify an existing saved view, they could not. This functionality was restored and now a user can edit the shared views and save it.
- Annotations: Unable to click an applied annotation: After an annotation was applied to a contract, it was challenging to click on the applied annotation, giving the impression that the annotation was not clickable. A new version of the contract viewer was implemented, making it easier to click annotations.

Update:
- Smart Search: Opt in modal for AU and CA customers: Customers in our Australia or Canada server regions must opt into ContractSafe’s data residency policy before the admin can enable Smart Search for the organization. When the admin enables the Smart Search toggle via settings, the consent modal appears for the admin to accept. Upon acceptance, Smart Search is enabled on their instance.
- Execution status field added to intake forms: The new execution status field can be added to your intake form as shown or as a hidden field. When the field is shown on the intake form, the user selects the proper execution status for the contract and the status is assigned to the contract page.

- Intake forms: Improve UI to prevent overlapping content: When creating or modifying intake forms, long field names no longer overlap text boxes and drop-downs.
December 2024
NEW:
- Recognize contract execution status with AI: Before, AI could only extract one of the 14 standard contract types. Now, AI can extract any custom type a customer adds! This makes categorizing contracts that much easier.
Update:
-
New contract execution status added: The contract execution status field on the contract page is now a drop-down with additional statutes to give you better insight into the signature status of a contract. The new statuses are:
- Fully Executed
- Partially Executed
- Not Executed
- Unknown Execution Status
- Not Applicable
Fix:
- Display count of users with folder access: Resolved an issue that prevented the number of users with access to a folder from being displayed on the dashboard.
November 2024
NEW:
- New Australia (AU) server region: If your organization is based in Australia, ContractSafe has data residency in the AU region. To create an account and login, visit au.contractsafe.com
- Smart Search: While searching for contracts is easy enough, knowing what to search for isn’t always straightforward. That’s why we created Smart Search, so you can use plain language and let ContractSafe apply the filters for you.
- Contract Metrics Dashboard widget: Contract Metrics is designed to make it easy to analyze your data, uncover key trends, and report from the Dashboard. The metrics widget only displays for admin users.
Updates:
- Tag deletion modal: When you attempt to delete a tag from settings, a modal appears, prompting you to confirm the deletion, preventing the accidental deletion of a tag.
- Increased counterparty AI results: Regarding AI extracting counterparty data from a contract, the accuracy has increased to nearly 90 percent.
- Improved SSO user invitation email message: The SSO user invitation email message was updated. The new email message includes details about the sender, directions for logging into ContractSafe, and who to contact if you have questions about logging in.
- Contract execution status opt-in modal for AU and CA customers: For customers who leverage our AU and CA server regions, when an admin enables the contract execution status feature for their organization, an opt-message appears. Customers are required to opt in because the OpenAi (the service powering execution status) does not have data residency in these regions.
- Deletion Modal improvements: Deletion modals throughout the platform have been improved with more explicit wording and actions to prevent you from accidentally deleting information.
Fix:
- Inconsistent template fonts: Fixed an issue with templates that caused the font to change inconsistently throughout the contract.
- Custom period date filtering improvements: Previously, when you entered a time period into the custom period input, the contract list filter did not auto-select. Now, after you finish entering the information, the filter auto-selects.
